Current Openings
CDI is looking for an Associate Director or Director of Development to help lead the fundraising work that supports our mission. Working closely with CDI’s Co-Founder and Executive Director, who serves as the organization’s primary fundraiser, this person will own grant writing and reporting and build an exceptionally organized operation behind CDI’s funder relationships.
The ideal candidate brings experience in development or fundraising, with particular strengths in writing and operations. They can turn CDI’s work and impact into clear, compelling proposals and reports while managing deadlines, maintaining accurate funder records, and improving the systems that keep fundraising work moving. They take pride in careful, high-quality work, anticipate what colleagues need, and know how to communicate nuance without losing clarity.
This role will work closely with the Executive Director and colleagues across Finance, Marketing and Communications, and CDI’s program teams. At the Director level, the person will take on greater responsibility for funder relationships and strategy from the start; at the Associate Director level, they will have room to grow into that work. At either level, they will have meaningful ownership of CDI’s development operations and help create the conditions for strong, lasting funder partnerships.
