[Perspectives] is a powerful tool that has already had an impact on our incoming students. It challenges us to approach dialogue with empathy and understanding, to ask ourselves, “What are the values underlying this view that I disagree with?” “How can I approach disagreements with curiosity rather than defensiveness?” — to let go of winning and to find what is shared. I loved the program and have shared it with a lot of people beyond Harvard. These are skills not just lacking at universities; they are being lost across our society.

Ultimately, after considering multiple options, we selected CDI’s Perspectives because people felt the curriculum not only provided education that supports freedom of expression and inquiry, but also--hands down--our students repeatedly said, ‘We want to learn how we can more effectively talk to each other--across differences in perspective, ideas, and cultures.' They really saw that CDI would help do that. We see the Perspectives course as a powerful tool in our efforts to promote intellectual, social and spiritual wellness.

[Perspectives] is probably the very best, timely and pertinent training program I have ever come across…I highly recommend it to everyone."

I think everyone in America needs this course.
